Our Winter Appeal, Together in Hope. Partners in Mission, invites you to join us in sustaining the mission that touches countless lives at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette and La Salette Retreat Center. WHY WE ARE ASKING THIS YEAR
Over the past year, we have noticed something that affects many of our visitors, especially our seniors. At one of the Healing Services held in the Welcome Center, 82-year-old Manuel R. sat near the back, straining to hear as the old sound system crackled and hissed. On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, after the Mass in the Shrine Church, an elderly couple approached the priest and told him, “Father, when you preach, the sound fades, and we miss so much.” These stories have become frequent. Our 20-year-old A/V systems in the Shrine Church and the Welcome Center are failing. Sound drops out, hearing aids pick up interference, and people who come hungry for God’s Word simply cannot hear it. When people cannot hear, they cannot fully pray, worship, or encounter Christ. 3. Share Mercy With Dignity

In the past 12 months, thanks to the generosity of people like you, and in partnership with the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette, we accomplished extraordinary things:
* Fully renovated the Shrine Cafeteria (see photos above).
* Served about 100 hot meals every Monday all year.
* Strengthened our multicultural ministries: Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian, Malayali, Filipino.
* Upgraded the church A/C, improving comfort and participation.
* Welcomed 15,000+ people to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
* Completely restored the Holy Stairs beside the Garden of the Apparition.People like you and their “yes” made all this possible!
