Friday, June 10, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PMJoin us for the last session of the program VATICAN II: BAD OR GOOD. In this last session, Father John Welch will outline the last of the Council's four major documents, namely the Pastoral Constitution Gaudium et Spes (Joys and Hopes).
Widely heralded as a landmark of Catholic social teaching, the Gaudium et Spes (Joys and Hopes), promulgated during the Second Vatican Council in 1965, focuses on the role of the Church and its members in the world in areas ranging from politics to peace, to the challenges of contemporary atheism to morality and service to the community. The document, ultimately, points to an authentic meaning of life that can be found only in Christ.
